Your locs deserve better than accessories that turn them green, slip mid-style, snag your hair, and fall apart the moment you get home. You deserve better than jewelry that treats your locs like an afterthought.Tress Alchemy was crafted backwards. We started with the women who wear their locs every day, the way they care for them, style them, and live in them. Then we built everything around that. Not the other way around. You're the main character. It's time to look like it.
Meet the Sabala Collection.
A cuff and pendant crafted to move with you. Smooth to the touch. Radiant in the light. The kind of piece that catches your eye in the mirror and makes you pause for a second longer than usual.Wear the cuff on its own for an understated look, or screw in the pendant when you want to say a little more. It threads in securely and removes just as easily. No tools, no clasps. Just your locs, dressed exactly how you feel today.

18k gold plating
Heavy gold plating at twice the standard thickness, built to last through real wear and real life.

Rhodium plating
One of the hardest metals available, rhodium resists scratches and daily wear while giving the silver variant its signature cool-toned shine.

Preciosa crystals
Precision-cut Bohemian crystals with an undeniable sparkle. The kind you notice across the room.

Anti-tarnish coat
A protective finishing layer that acts as the last line of defence against tarnish, keeping your piece looking its best for longer.

Screw-in connector
The pendant threads in and locks securely in place. You never have to worry about it falling off.

Alchemy jewelry charms are the perfect way to give your locs a little extra flair and sparkle. They’re lightweight, easy to use, and versatile enough to complement a variety of styles. I especially love the gold charms, they really stand out against my medium-sized locs and add just the right amount of elegance without feeling heavy.

I absolutely love my loc jewelry from Tress Alchemy! The pieces are beautifully made and add the perfect touch to my microlocs. I was initially worried that the jewelry would be too heavy and weigh my locs down, but they are incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear. They stay in place without putting any strain on my hair.Since wearing them, I've received so many compliments and people always ask where I got them from. The quality, design, and attention to detail are amazing. If you're looking for stylish loc accessories that won't weigh down your hair, I highly recommend Tress Alchemy!

Don't just take our word for it.
They tried it. Here's what they said.
The woman behind the brand
"Jewelry to me is like that final seasoning, the kind that has the ability to completely transform the way you experience something."When I started wearing my locs, I couldn't find premium jewelry that actually worked with them. Modern designs that moved with my locs and felt like they were made with me in mind simply didn't exist. So in 2024, I started Tress Alchemy, born from a personal search to reclaim how I experienced my hair. In a world that did not see me, I decided I would carve a space for myself and for others like me.Every piece is shaped by a decade in the hairstyling industry and crafted in partnership with expert makers who share the same standard. Designed to complement your locs, fit into your hair routine naturally, and built to hold up through real wear. This is jewelry made for how we live in our locs.

More than adornment
Tress Alchemy is an artistic expression of my cultural heritage, where storytelling meets modern design. Each collection is inspired by the cultural motifs of Ghana's Ewe community, my native. These motifs are more than decorative symbols. They are visual representations of proverbs, born from old fables and carried across generations to sustain, connect, and remind us of who we come from. The Sabala collection takes its name from one of these motifs. The proverb it carries is loosely translated as: an onion is round, but there are spaces within it. It’s a representation of tolerance, co-existence and individuality. Like any piece of art, we each find our own meaning in it. I was drawn to Sabala for the inaugural collection because it echoes something true about Tress Alchemy. There is always more beneath the surface. These are not just pieces for your hair. They are memories made wearable.
Community projects
Tress Alchemy exists because of community. It's only right that we invest back into it.A portion of every purchase goes directly into collaborative projects that increase visibility, address equity gaps, and push back against the harmful narratives that follow the communities we're deeply connected to.In February 2025, we hosted our first initiative, Serving Locs, a project to increase the visibility of Black women with locs in professional-grade, free image libraries.Learn more about Serving Locs

From the start, we were intentional about who we work with. Our jewelry partners are certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) and our packaging uses GOTS certified organic cotton and paper-based materials, both recognised international standards for ethical and environmentally responsible production. We're a small business still building our sustainability framework, and we're committed to developing a plan that actively reduces waste and contributes to a healthier world for the communities we serve.

What happens after you order.

FAQs.
1. What does pre-order mean?
You're reserving your piece from our founding collection before it goes into production. Your spot is secured at checkout and your jewelry will be delivered by the estimated date above. Pre-orders also allow us to produce in small, intentional batches, which means less waste and more care in every piece.
2. Do the jewelry pieces fit all loc sizes?
Yes. The cuff is designed to fit all loc sizes. You can wear it by wrapping it around a loc or by inserting the loc through the opening. For smaller locs like sisterlocs, we recommend putting them into twists first for a safe and secure fit.
3. I don’t have locs, can I still use it?
Absolutely. The Sabala collection works beautifully on braids, twists, cornrows, faux locs, and other braided hairstyles. For very fine or thin hair, we recommend plaiting the hair into a small braid first to ensure a snug, secure fit.
4. What are the return and exchange policies?
We offer a 14-day return and exchange window from the date your order is delivered. To be eligible:
The item must be unworn, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
Items purchased as a set can only be returned or exchanged as a complete set.
To start a return or exchange, email us at [email] with your order number and we'll get back to you with next steps. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived defective or incorrect, in which case we cover it.
5. How can I track my order?
Once your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking number and a direct link to follow your package every step of the way.
6. How can I cancel my order?
You can cancel within 24 hours of placing your order for a full refund. Email us at [email] with your order number and we'll take care of it.
After 24 hours, your order moves into production planning and cancellations can no longer be guaranteed. That said, reach out and we'll always do our best to accommodate you.
7. How do I clean my jewelry?
Every order includes a care card with full instructions inside the packaging.
In general, gently wipe any moisture, oils, and product residue from your pieces with a soft, dry cloth after wearing them, and store them in the pouch provided. Avoid prolonged contact with water and hair products where possible. A little care goes a long way.
8. What are the shipping fees and delivery timeline?
Standard shipping is free on all pre-orders.
After production, your piece will ship by December 2026 and delivery typically takes 2 to 14 business days from the ship date depending on your location within Canada.
You'll receive your tracking information as soon as your order is on its way.
9. Where do you ship to?
We currently ship across Canada only. Expanding our shipping is something we're actively working towards. Join our mailing list to be the first to know when that changes.
10. What if my piece arrives damaged?
We're confident in our craftsmanship and quality control, but if your jewelry arrives damaged, we'll make it right. Email us with your order number and photos of the damage and we'll arrange a replacement or full refund, whichever you prefer.
